On November 13th, Pleasantville STRONG will host a parent forum in partnership with the JCK Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to mental health awareness and resilience-building. This event offers parents and caregivers an opportunity to learn about JCK’s approach just ahead of November 19th, when JCK will begin working directly with Pleasantville High School students, specifically focusing on our freshman class through their advisory period.
Presenters John and Kevin will introduce The Legends Program, JCK’s flagship initiative tailored for middle and high school students. Using a compelling storytelling approach, John and Kevin aim to break down stigmas around mental health challenges and substance use. Through modeling vulnerability and sharing personal stories, they highlight the importance of fostering open dialogue about mental health and connecting to support, when needed.
We hope you can join us for this meaningful conversation!
