Pleasantville STRONG was at the HS to shed light on Children of Addiction Awareness Week. The high school students wrote supportive messages of hope and strength to those that might be dealing with addiction or other family hardship. The messages were hung in a heart shape along with resources. 1 in 4 children in the US grow up in household with one adult who abuse alcohol or other drugs. Kids and teens begin to heal when they learn that #parentaddiction isn’t their fault.
